David Perry

1.) David Perry was a Patriot of the American Revolution. David Perry was born on August 8, 1741 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and died May 2, 1826 in Ira, Rutland, Vermont. He lived in Massachusetts until he moved to Killingly, Connecticut where he started a family.

3.) David Perry had a mother but she died in 1748 from a sudden illness. When she died he went to live with his Uncle David which treated him with great kindness. After the French War David Perry married and moved his family to Killingly, Connecticut. Then again in 1779 Perry moved his family to Plainfield, New Hampshire where he served as a selectman for nine years. Lastly he moved to Ira, Rutland, Vermont where with his wife Ana he lived his remaining years. His son Nathaniel Green Perry then died on May 2, 1826 and was buried there in Riverside Cemetery.
4.) David Perry was a shoemaker and a tanner at the age of fourteen. He also was a soldier in the French and Indian War. Then later on he served as a selectman for nine years and then accepting a captains commission in 1785.
5.) He enlisted into the New England provincial forces, serving for four campaigns in the French and Indian war. He was the first lieutenant in the American Revolution.
6.)
